There are many adventurous activities throughout the Vendée. Just a few minutes drive of the gîte and campsite you will find micro-lite baptism flights, treetop adventure courses, go-karting and horse-riding. There is a good swimming pool at La Châtaigneraie and there is lake swimming (in high season) on the southern edge of Mervent Forest. Near to Jard sur Mer is a huge treetop adventure site and also ‘O’ Glisse aqua park. Riding and go-carting are also nearby. Surf boards and stand-up paddle boards can be hired at numerous beaches along the coast.
